About Me
Sabrina was born in Hong Kong and began playing the flute at the age of 14. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Electroacoustic Music and Composition from Simon Fraser University and an Artist Diploma in Flute Performance from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
A dedicated soloist and chamber musician based in Vancouver, Sabrina is the founder of the Moonlight Flute Quartet and performs as a flutist and piccolist with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. She also collaborates with Foolish Operation as their resident musician.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Sabrina is a passionate flute instructor who has developed her own teaching methods for students of all levels. Her students excel in RCM examinations and youth orchestras and bands, achieving their full musical potential.
In addition to her performance career, Sabrina is an enthusiastic composer, specializing in electroacoustic and acoustic works for small ensembles and solo performances. She enjoys experimenting with sound and objects to explore new tonal combinations.
In her free time, Sabrina enjoys gardening, cooking, and walking her dog, Oatly!
